At 215, he's probably not got the acceleration for scrum half. But if he can move and is strong, either center or back row would be good options.

Iv been playing rugby for the past 7 years i would recommend going out for flanker or scrumhalf and after getting a couple years experience possibly 8 man.. but i would have him start of in the pack or the forwards because of his size and flanker if hes fast and can tackle

Scrumhalf, inside wing. Most guys who switch from American football to rugby do so because they have gotten bored by the limited strategical thinking required or because they've moved to a country where it's not possible to play American football and they see rugby as the closest alternative.I've never heard one say they would go back if they could. He will be welcomed in any club.

Well I think the guy have to play scrumhalf because of his quarterback ability. but he can play either wing or flank
