ok there is a reason for no protection for the private area and that is because there is nothing that you can develop that wont injure the player when he falls..
I would suggest maybe a type of glove to be worn in the rain so that the ball isnt rificulously slippery.. maybe even a new ball that when it gets wet its gets easier to handle.. possibly a new type of cleat that doesnt get worn down as much or isnt so heavy for forwards
Well if you know anything about rugby players, we could use some way of carrying around beers with us while we play. Maybe a soft helmet then strap two beer cans with tubes to our mouths. Got to stay hydrated!! References :
