France over for a try right under the posts with the score now 8 – 7 to the All Blacks.

The All Blacks have won the Rugby World Cup 2011 final against France by 8 -7!!!!!!!!

NewZealand beats Australia 20to 6 at full time in the second Semi-final for the Rugby World Cup 2011

The young All Blacks are playing well with Israel Dagg and Aaron Cruden having a great game. A fast paced game with amazing intensity.

France beat Wales 9-8and go on to the final in an amazing game where Wales were reduced to a 14 man team early in the game after captain, Sam Warburton, was sent off for a dangerous tackle and has been suspended for three weeks by the IRB.

Highlanders – The Super 14 team from the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. They are based in Dunedin and are known as the Otago Highlanders.

Hurricanes – The Super 14 team based in Wellington, New Zealand. The full title of the team is the Wellington Hurricanes.

Les Bleus – The nickname for the French rugby team.

Lions – The ‘British and Irish Lions’ rugby union side comprises a pick of the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Rugby union circles refer to these four international Rugby Unions collectively as the “Home Nations” and therefore sometimes refer to the Lions team as a “Home Nations” team.

Los Pumas is also the traditional nickname of the Argentina national rugby union team.

Pumas – are a South African rugby union team that participates in the annual Currie Cup
tournament.

Reds – The Super 14 team whose full name is the Queensland Reds.

Sea Eagles – The nickname for the Tonga rugby union team.

Australia beat South Africa 11-9 That game is definitely one for the history books with South Africa dominating possession and territory yet the Wallabies getting the points. WHAT A GAME!!!!

New Zealand beat Argentina 33 – 10 in Auckland

France dominated the first phase of play yet unfortunately for them they did not put any points on the board at that stage. There was lots of action in the game.

Territory was even and in position there was a very slight advantage to New Zealand. Richie McCaw was quite pleased with the match in his 100th test appearance. He is the most test captain in New Zealand rugby history. Has scored the most points for a forward in the All Blacks. Richie was awarded a white All Blacks cap for being the first ever All Black to play 100 test matches.

Graham Henry definitely ranks Richie McCaw as his number 1 player. He leads by example and is a very popular player with everyone. Congratulations Richie!

Japan put up a great challenge against France only losing by 47-21 in their first game being played in North Harbour, Auckland.

Scotland managed to pull off a win against Romania with a score of 34-24 at Rugby Park, Invercargill. Nine minutes before time the score stood at 24 All. These video highlights show Romania looking much better than expected.

England struggled to a 13-9 win over Argentina in their first game of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Fiji held off Namibia 49 to 25 in a game with plenty of tries.

Weepu made a break down the short side and the All Blacks moved the ball out to Sitiveni Sivivatu who was pulled down 5 metres out. Kaino kept the continuity alive and Nonu burst over to give the All Blacks a fantastic start. Then Carter converted from wide out.

Weepu breaked away down the short side again and linked to Sivivatu again. A quick ball from the Blacks gave Nonu a chance for a short break with Keven Mealamu over for a try. Converted by Carter.

Sivivatu is playing a fantastic defence game. He has stopped at least 3 tries.

Although the territory probably favoured the Wallabies, the All Blacks defence has been strong with great skills. Weepu, Sivivatu and Nonu have featured in both tries and really stand out although the forward pack has provided the quick ball when needed leading to each of the tries.
